About

I am a computational {data, social} scientist. I research methods for causal inference in experimental and observational settings, and techniques for statistical inference in machine learning and natural language processing applications. I apply these techniques to contemporary problems in public policy, business, finance, and government.

I am a Data Science Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow, in the Center for Data Science, at New York University. At NYU, I have taught courses in causal inference and the data science capstone. I received my Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University in 2016, where I was an affiliate of the Institute for Quantitative Social Sciences, and my B.A. (with Honors) from Columbia University in 2010.
